Alloys suitable for highly stressed parts in cold and hot. They have excellent resistance to corrosion, especially sea water, in fact they are widely used in the marine industry for the production of propellers and propeller brackets. Noteworthy are its qualities of resistance to abrasion and cavitation. Examples of applications: joints for turbines, heavily loaded bearings, pieces of fire mouths, guides and valve seats for engines, water pumps, impellers of centrifugal pumps, bearings, helical gears. Some alloys of this group may be subject to heat treatment.
